Information about the REAL ID

Starting May 7, 2025, travelers aged 18 and older will need a REAL ID-compliant document to fly domestically. Acceptable documents include state-issued driver's license or ID cards with the REAL ID marking (a star or similar), or alternative forms of identification like a valid passport.

To get a REAL ID, you must visit your local DMV and provide the documents required for this. It can take about 2 weeks or 15 business days to process this. Plan now to get your REAL ID if you want to fly domestically.

The Hobart Wanderer

Begin your day with a briefing on Tasmanian history before driving along Hobart city's streets, stopping at the top of Mt. Wellington. Views of the region's lovely landscape are expansive and magnificent from Mt. Wellington. While driving by Hobart's beloved monuments, your local guide will provide in-depth explanations of their historical significance.

Your journey continues as you pass through Tasmania's farmland and cool climate wine region to the picturesque town of Richmond. The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is the next stop on your itinerary, where you may feed kangaroos by hand and admire Tasmanian Devils.

This tour is a fantastic way to get acquainted with Tasmania and will undoubtedly entice you to come back and see more of this stunning island. After the tours ends, passengers can opt to be dropped off at the cruise ship terminal, or at Salamanca which is just a short 10-minute walk from the cruise ship dock, to continue exploring Hobart.
