Information about the REAL ID

Starting May 7, 2025, travelers aged 18 and older will need a REAL ID-compliant document to fly domestically. Acceptable documents include state-issued driver's license or ID cards with the REAL ID marking (a star or similar), or alternative forms of identification like a valid passport.

To get a REAL ID, you must visit your local DMV and provide the documents required for this. It can take about 2 weeks or 15 business days to process this. Plan now to get your REAL ID if you want to fly domestically.

Golf at Belmont Hills Country Club

Grab your clubs, put on your spikes, and meet the challenge of your golfing life: Bermuda's Belmont Hills. Are you up to it?

Professional course designer Algie M. Pulley Jr. literally moved mountains to design the semi-private Belmont Hills course back in 2002. The veteran California architect found an existing layout that was largely featureless. However, after the most extensive golf course rebuilding project Bermuda has ever seen, a new topography emerged.

Today, every one of the 6,100 yards of intense bunkering, multitiered greens, and slender fairways will thoroughly test your shot-making abilities. Pulley created a magnificent, contoured layout that maximizes the golfer's experience while showcasing Bermuda's captivating beauty. Panoramic views of Hamilton Harbour and the Great Sound provide the backdrop for some of the finest 18 holes on the island.

Belmont Hills' greens are built to USGA standards and sprigged, naturally enough, with Tiff Eagle Bermuda Grass. The fairways feature 419 Bermuda Grass to provide the best possible playing surface. Although Bermuda has its fair share of sand, Belmont Hills' bunkers hold the same sand Master's players try to avoid at Augusta National. Water hazards come in to play on several holes, which is unusual for a Bermudian course (Bermuda doesn't have any natural creeks or rivers, and only a handful of freshwater ponds).

Two large, man-made ponds complement the dramatic rolling landscape. An automatic irrigation system maintains the tees, fairways, and greens, including Bermuda's only double green (14,000 square feet), in peak condition. Hundreds of trees have been planted or relocated to define the fairways and to increase safety. Belmont Hills is waiting for you on this Bermuda excursion. Come and play.

Note: This tour departs from the golf club, which is a 30-minute taxi ride from King's Wharf, and 20 minutes from Hamilton. Taxi fare from Kings Wharf is approximately $40 US each way.
