Information about the REAL ID

 

Starting May 7, 2025, travelers aged 18 and older will need a REAL ID-compliant document to fly domestically. Acceptable documents include state-issued driver's license or ID cards with the REAL ID marking (a star or similar), or alternative forms of identification like a valid passport.

 

To get a REAL ID, you must visit your local DMV and provide the documents required for this. It can take about 2 weeks or 15 business days to process this. Plan now to get your REAL ID if you want to fly domestically.

Just a short, scenic harbor cruise from Paradise Island you will find the idyllic and beautiful Pearl Island, just waiting for you.

Once you have arrived take a climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view of the surrounding islands, or relax on one of the two powder, white-sand beaches to unwind in the shade with a tropical cocktail.

Your time on Pearl Island also includes a delicious Bahamian lunch featuring authentic BBQ chicken and so much more.

Round out your day with a paddle on a kayak or try your hand at stand-up paddleboard, explore the fun waterpark and take one last dip in the warm crystal-clear Bahamian waters before catching the ferry back to Nassau.

There is also a gift shop available for souvenirs as well as locker rental available ($10 USD, not included), Pearl Island accepts cash as well as most major credit cards.

An approximately 10 minute taxi ride (not included, approximately $10 each way) and a ferry ride (included) is required to reach your departure location. Full details will be provided in your electronic ticket upon confirmation.
 
Food/Beverage Provided
Bahamian lunch: BBQ chicken, fish fingers, peas n' rice and coleslaw with your choice of water or lemonade. Sodas, beer, wine, cocktails and some small snacks (chips, nuts, etc.) can be purchased on two different bars at the island
 
Special Instructions
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing over your bathing suit and sensible, flat-soled walking shoes with non-slip soles. A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are also suggested.
 
Restrictions
Guests need to be able to walk on and off the ferry used to the island as well as navigate a few steps. The island is wheelchair accessible. Guests 17 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a paying adult. Please bring a photo ID.
