Information about the REAL ID

Starting May 7, 2025, travelers aged 18 and older will need a REAL ID-compliant document to fly domestically. Acceptable documents include state-issued driver's license or ID cards with the REAL ID marking (a star or similar), or alternative forms of identification like a valid passport.

To get a REAL ID, you must visit your local DMV and provide the documents required for this. It can take about 2 weeks or 15 business days to process this. Plan now to get your REAL ID if you want to fly domestically.

For more information and to see the list of TSA-approved alternatives to the REAL ID, go to the website: www.dhs.gov/real-id

Monkeys, Sloths And Iguanas

Day Trip, Group Tour
Offer Image
This combination excursion allows you to explore villages, take in gorgeous viewpoints, discover local landmarks and mix in wildlife for an amazing cultural experience.

Your day in Roatan will be a fun-filled adventure as you pay a visit to the Daniel Johnson Monkeys and Sloth Hang-Out, followed by an iguana farm.

Experience some of the highlights of the island as you travel to your different destinations. Keep your eyes open as you will have the chance to see native species that are often hard to spot in the dense Honduran jungle.

Visit an animal sanctuary that provides a home for rescued wildlife, including monkeys and sloths. Please note that guests will no longer be able to hold or hug the sloths due to recent wildlife protection regulations. However, you will still have the wonderful opportunity to get up close and take selfies with these gentle creatures. Keep an eye out for playful white-faced Capuchin monkeys and curious spider monkeys during your visit!

Travel to an iguana farm located at the beach. There are so many iguanas here that roam freely in a protected haven, there are too many to count. Some can grow up to four feet long! Have a personal interaction and one-on-one with Roatan's most exotic species where visitors can feed and touch these friendly reptiles.

Your tour includes villages, scenic viewpoints, local landmarks as well as some local wildlife and culture, a great way to experience Roatan.

Please Note: Due to updated local regulations effective April 1, 2025, guests will no longer be permitted to hold the monkeys and sloths as physical contact with animals in parks and sanctuaries are restricted. Photo opportunities, however, may still be available. Please note that this policy is subject to change as the situation evolves.
