Information about the REAL ID

Starting May 7, 2025, travelers aged 18 and older will need a REAL ID-compliant document to fly domestically. Acceptable documents include state-issued driver's license or ID cards with the REAL ID marking (a star or similar), or alternative forms of identification like a valid passport.

To get a REAL ID, you must visit your local DMV and provide the documents required for this. It can take about 2 weeks or 15 business days to process this. Plan now to get your REAL ID if you want to fly domestically.

Escape modernity! Experiencie the simple life led by villagers in Vaikom on this unique Cochin tour, an enriching and refreshing India excursion.

Explore Vaikom Village

A short drive leads you to the un-rushed village of Vaikom. Strolling through this welcoming village, you'll see their simple homes and workshops before arriving at the Khadi Weaving Center, where a variety of materials are hand-spun into beautiful items. Visit the local potter to witness the creation of their wares, before sitting down for a traditional lunch (at your own expense). This is the ideal tour for travelers interesting in an authentic Indian excursion.

Largely untouched by modernity, Vaikom is a quaint, old, and friendly village in the state of Kerala. Your English-speaking driver will provide cultural insights en-route to the unhurried village. On arrival, you'll see the where the villagers reside and how they earn their livelihood.

Upon reaching the Khadi Weaving Centre, artisans will show you how they produce beautiful hand-woven cloth from silk, wool, or cotton. Naturally, you'll be afforded the opportunity to purchase items prior to visiting the local potter. There, you'll see a variety of traditional pots and vases created before your very eyes.

Soon after, a visit will be paid to a local restaurant, where your lunch (not included) is served in a plantain leaf, just as the villagers eat. Book this relaxing Cochin tour for a truly authentic peek into how villagers in India have lived for hundreds of years.
